What You'll Do (Role Purpose)

The position is responsible for the development of a world-class manufacturing organization and asset footprint that can safely and consistently deliver the product supply needs of manufacturing facilities across 5 business sectors (Global NonWovens, Adult and FemCare, Baby and Child Care, Family Care, and Kimberly Clark Professional). The scope includes responsibility for all aspects of Manufacturing Transformation, Manufacturing Excellence, and Training & Capability strategies. The incumbent will also have a strong connection to the Enterprise Supply Chain organization providing leadership and input to the development of enterprise standards. Additionally, the role involves establishing and integrating new manufacturing facilities to ensure they meet the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and innovation.

The Impact You can Make

  • Lead effective implementation of the North America Manufacturing Excellence strategy (Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma, Digital Manufacturing, Reliability Excellence) enabling North America Asset Base to achieve benchmark performance enabling the growth of the business.
  • Reinvigorate the Lean Continuous improvement culture across North America, with specific focus on Leadership capability development.
  • Lead the development and deployment of the Training and Capability strategy for the Supply Chain organization.
  • Build talent of staff deputies and plant functional leaders; manage team member performance and career development.
  • Lead the development and execution of the manufacturing facility 5-year strategic business plans.
  • Internal and External performance benchmarking and driving best practice adoption across North America and enterprise.
  • Drive standardization across North America ensuring rapid adoption and deployment of enterprise standards.
  • Manage the transformation of new manufacturing facilities, ensuring they are equipped with the latest technologies and processes to optimize production efficiency and safety.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies for the integration of new facilities into the existing manufacturing network, ensuring seamless operations and alignment with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute facility layouts, workflows, and processes that maximize productivity and minimize waste.

Dimensions and Scope

  • Training and Capability development, and Manufacturing Excellence deployment for 19 Manufacturing plants and staff support – 10,000+ employees.
  • Supports manufacturing operations across 5 sectors.
  • 3-4 direct salaried team members and total organization of 40+ salaried employees and leaders.
  • Reports to Vice President of North America Manufacturing.

Experiences We're Looking For

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required in an engineering, technical, or business field of study; MBA or advanced degree desired.
  • 15-20 years of staff and plant operational or technical experience including one or more Manufacturing leadership roles (Mill Manager, Director of Manufacturing).
  • Experience in manufacturing transformation and integration of new manufacturing facilities is highly desirable.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee complex facility transformations.
  • Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate and address challenges, including new facility integration.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide teams through periods of change and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Salary Range: 215,900 – 279,100 USD

At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
