Supervisor - Warehouse (Information Technology)
Use ERP reports and pull inventory concepts to plan and manage raw material, WIP, and inventory levels, established by production requirements.Work with corporate purchasing on replenishment, ensuring proper inventory loads, process compliance and pricing.Recommends improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department while achieving site specific goals.Ensure timely unloading, receiving, storage and delivery of material to the production areasMaintains inventory and product loss control, coordinates timely and accurate shipping and receiving, and ensures safety/operational guidelines are met.Maintain cycle count standard work goals with the long term objective of achieving cycle count certificationMaintain and issue inventory reporting, including inventory accuracy, cycle count metrics and scrap processingImplement and enforce standard work across the functionsDrive continuous improvement activities in all functional areasProvide leadership in selecting, developing and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the functionWorks with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity warehouse and shipping department.Responsible for supervising the receiving staff and processMotivate staff to make an effective and efficient teamEngages in the typical responsibilities of a supervisor, requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegatingLeads material replenishment activities for the factory, ensuring that delivery of parts to production lines are done per standard work instructions.Works with teams to design and deploy various replenishment methods in the factory
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations and all lock-out/tag-out requirements according to OSHA requirements.
As part of your supervisory responsibility and as a back-up, supervisors must be able to do your work in ways that ensure safe food. You must also be aware of issues associated with food safety and safe food handling practices that are relevant to your job. Formal training is not required, but in house Food Safety Training conducted by a qualified staff member is mandatory. You must know how to recognize, prevent and alleviate food safety hazards. This position requires good working knowledge of the SQF code
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
Minimum of High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3-5 years Supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment. Food Manufacturing experience a plus. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. He/she must be able to identify and analyze constraint processes and implement solutions. Must be bi-lingual.
