Advanced Mfg Engineer II (Finance)

Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement and maintain method and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies for the aerospace industry.

Summary:

  • Evaluates moderately complex manufacturing processes by conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from operators/production technicians.
  • Determines the methods and sequences of manufacturing operations for moderately complex products and machine parts and assemblies; ensures that products and processes meet customer quality requirements.
  • Discover and document hidden factory and prepare written or graphical work instructions for the communication of manufacturing requirements to production personnel.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Presents findings and underlying rationale to team, supplier, or customer.
  • Support root cause-corrective action activities as necessary.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional (e.g. quality, design, or test engineering) or project team responsibilities.

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,800 - $102.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business consideration

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to manufacturing teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets

THE BUSINESS UNIT

Mechanical Systems & Components provides a wide range of mechanical products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers, including aircraft manufacturers and operators, and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures air and thermal systems, mechanical components, and wheels and braking systems. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government.   • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Years of Experience required 2-5

WE VALUE
  • Mechanical/Industrial/Aerospace Engineering experience.
  • General knowledge of aerospace or similar industry products and legal and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing plants.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and policies and recommend changes to procedures.
  • Familiarity with welding of aluminum and steel sheet metal assemblies in an aerospace environment.
  • Familiarity with brazed and welded heat exchanger assemblies.
  • Familiarity with complex 5-axis machining
