Director HR Business Partner (Finance)

Join our dynamic team as the Human Resources Director responsible for leading the HR function for our wildlife division brands, Critter Control, Trutech Wildlife Service, & MissQuito. Collaborate with the brands' leadership team to assess organizational needs, drive process improvement, and enhance leadership capability to support our growing business.

The successful Field HR Director (HR Business Partner) serves as a strategic and hands-on advisor to operations leaders across the country in a distributed workforce model. Responsibilities

Role Highlights . . .

  • Lead a diverse team across 150+ cities, overseeing human resources, recruiting, and providing support to teammates in various locations.
  • Communicate supportively with teammates regarding their concerns, providing guidance and recommendations for resolutions of any issues.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador inside and outside the organization and foster a positive peer culture rooted in healthy competition where teammates challenge and elevate each other. We are committed to continuous learning and growth to help each other succeed.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with field operations leaders to drive workforce planning, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
  • Offer insights and guidance on policies and procedures, actively contributing to the development, recommendation, and updating of guidelines as required.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of state, local, and Federal labor laws to ensure compliance and stay informed about regulatory changes within the territory to maintain adherence.
  • Design, coordinate, and conduct HR training programs across the brands as required.
  • Collaborate in leading the talent review and succession planning process for the Division's leadership team.
  • Manage salary and wage administration in alignment with company policies, including analyzing pay structures, conducting performance reviews, defining job roles, and facilitating field communications.
  • Track and analyze HR programs using reports and performance metrics to drive informed decision-making and program enhancements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communicating benefit programs and resolving issues between team members and corporate benefits administration.
  • Lead HR Due Diligence Audits during the Acquisition process; coordinating between payroll, benefits and pre-employment to ensure that acquisition teammates are properly onboarded
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by the brand Division President and Vice President of Human Resources.

Qualifications

The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 10+ years of HR Business Partner or Consulting experience in the areas of employee relations, organization design and development, change management, workforce planning, coaching/consultation, program/project management, facilitation, performance management, employee engagement, overall talent management, and communication
  • HR experience in a multi-state and distributed workforce business model
  • Previous service industry and/or deskless workforce experience a plus
  • Previous human resources team leadership experience a plus
  • Self-starter with natural tendency to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and anticipate needs
  • Strong judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discernment and sensitivity
  • Ability to build and maintain trust-based, collaborative relationships and influence others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of HR Project Management skills inclusive of the ability to design and oversee multiple, concurrent projects working collaboratively with teams in support of business objectives
  • Strong knowledge of HR tools, such as UKG HRIS, iCIMS ATS, etc.
  • Use all Microsoft Office programs to document processes, prepare and update documents, presentations, and spreadsheets as required
  • Ability to research internal and external best practices for potential use within the organization
  • Ability to analyze HR data and trends leveraging people analytics to share visual messaging
  • Ability to effectively design and deliver communications for leaders at all levels in the organization

 

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification
  • Master's Degree in HR Management or related discipline preferred
  • Experience with supporting Canada entities and employees
  • Experience with payroll and commissions calculations oversight

Physical Demands / Working Environment: 

  • We require the ability to pass a drug screen and background checks. Candidates must have the ability to perform the requirements of the job with or without accommodations
  • Ability to commute regularly to the Wildlife corporate headquarters in Marietta, GA
  • Ability to travel nationally at about 25-40%
