Operations Manager (Finance)



This position will be responsible for oversight of the USF St. Petersburg composting program. Responsibilities include: 1. oversight of all aspects of daily composting operations, 2. Monitor and report on all measures used to evaluate the grant objectives, 3. Act as a liaison between food services, university personnel and community partners. Work cooperatively with USF St. Petersburg Student Green Energy Fund, City of St. Petersburg and Pinellas County Government as well as other external agencies to to achieve food wast and composting goals and objectives. 4. This individual will work with Health & Safety to ensure compliance with regulations 5. Create and update a Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manual. Ensure staff members are thoroughly trained in food waste disposal 5. Provide training to students and interns in composting procedures along with other methods of waste reduction. 5. Monitor food waste collection site and ensure cleanliness and serviceability of site areas. 6. The successful candidate will have experience developing and implementing food waste reduction educational campaigns for all audiences, including students, faculty staff and visitors. 7. This individual will also monitor all budget expenditures in collaboration with USF and the City of St. Petersburg budget requirements as stipulated by the Federal Government. 8. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to complete monthly Field Reports and to deal with a wide range of stakeholders. 9. Valid Florida Drivers License required.Minimum Requirements: This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent with four years of customer service related experience including at least one year of supervisory experience.

Preferred Requirements: B.A./B.S. In Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field. Experience in commercial composting along with experience in business and management.Working at USF
