Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Closing Assistant in Tennessee to research, review and complete title reports. You will research, draft, review Warranty Deeds, easements, leases, sub leases, partial and full releases. Review and analyze title reports, mortgages, liens, property descriptions/legal descriptions. This position will function as integrated staff for our client located in Knoxville, Chattanooga or Jackson, TN.

As a Closing Assistant you will perform responsibilities similar to paralegal work or title agent working in real estate transactions.

Role accountabilities:

  • In this role you will be asked to complete, review and analyze title reports
  • Draft warranty deeds, releases, partial releases, leases, license and sub leases.
  • Understand basic principles in reading, writing, retracing and interpreting property descriptions, such as parent parcel, metes and bounds, and subdivision.
  • Research, review and identify title defects and curative requirements.
  • Take actions to clear title curative requirements.
  • Recognize when to escalate title issues.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate and document effectively, and handle large volumes of work.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments
  • Attention to detail and quality

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience with a minimum of 4 years' experience with right-of-way, title, paralegal or real property law.

Key Attributes:
  • Experience closing acquisition and relocation parcels and delivering warrants.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate and document effectively, and handle large volumes of work.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments
  • Attention to detail and quality

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $90916 - $112509. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
